IN THIS LESSON

In this lesson, we're going to look at when you shouldn't be processing.

Processing gets activated with allowing, never with force. It is basically a hack to trigger your body to move into its parasympathetic activation. So it's very gentle. Your body is naturally always trying to heal you, never to hurt you. That's why it won't always process where you want it to.

Processing can bring up discomfort, but it should be a dull ache, as if stagnation is being along or dissolved. If it shows up as a sharp pain, it should only be sharp for less than a minute before passing.

The only way that a sharp, lingering pain can become present with this method is if you’re not doing this method and are, instead, forcing. Stop immediately if this happens and get help from a trained bodyworker, or holistic practitioner. Don't hurt yourself!

I've had sharp pains appear when a bone repairs or sometimes if a muscle is trying to pull a bone back into alignment. But usually Processing feels wonderful and you walk away with so much relief.

Also, keep in mind that this stripped down way of healing yourself might not be right for you—and don't consider yourself a failure. Every modality that works is using the principle of Resonant Attention. Let's not lose sight of that insight, which I discuss in the free Principle class that I offer on this same platform.

Every modality has a place in the healing pantheon. Sometimes chemotherapy might be the exact right thing for you. Sometimes reiki. Sometimes a hug from your mom. Don't get dogmatic about the practice of Resonant Attention to the detriment of your health. If you can't get processing going, please move on and try something that will give you the results you deserve.

In the next module, we'll look at Specificity. Join me.
