IN THIS LESSON

Healing that resolves the somatized trauma and restores capacity is what I call 'true healing.'

Healing that matches the trauma that your body is storing will resolve it completely. Homeopathy is a great example of this. When a homeopathist applies a remedy that isn't exactly right, it won't have any effect, but when it nails the remedy, miracles unfold. Placebo is another great example—and there are many others.

True healing doesn't even have to happen in the context of medicine. Sometimes a hug from a loved one, or even a realization, can meet the somatized trauma and literally cure you. That's what I think is happening with spontaneous remissions.

It's important to distinguish true healing, where you have a cessation of symptoms and a return to full capacity, from other things that get credited as cures but bring a host of side effects. Obviously, many pharmaceutical drugs fall into this category. The term 'Side effect' is meant to sound minor, but it's actually a complication and really needs to be recategorized that way.

At this point, many of us don't even know that the kind of healing I'm talking about is possible. All those little injuries and aches and pains that you just live with and think are part of normal aging. Humans are so good at adapting. But so much can be resolved completely--and that's why we're here re-skilling medicine!

In the next lesson, we're going to look at what those injuries are from an energetic lens. Join me.
